NALGONDA: The police have launched a manhunt to nab two workers for allegedly murdering a dhaba owner and his wife at Toophranpet in Choutuppal mandal on Tuesday night. Hailing from Maharastra but settled in Andhra Pradesh, Joshi, 50 and Nirmala, 43, found dead with head injuries in their dhaba. The accused allegedly used an iron rod to bludgeon the victims. A colour television, scooter, two mobile phones and undisclosed amount of cash was also missing from their home situated by the side of the National Highway No.9. The workers were engaged only a day before the incident. "The couple sacked their old servant on charges of theft and hurriedly engaged the duo without checking their antecedents," a police officer said. A police team camped in the city to gather information about the two workers in question. The couple ran a hotel at Abdullapurmet in Ranga Reddy district for a decade before leasing a dhaba at Toophranpet three years ago. "Our officers are working on it. We came to know that Nirmala visited her son, Vishal Kumar (a car driver in Hyderabad) on Sunday," Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar said.
