Power shutdown

There will be no power supply in parts of the city between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday due to the commissioning of the 1X990 kVA transformer at Tank Road area in E1 sub-division. The affected areas include Promanade Road, Tank Road, Assaye Road, Manae Avenue Road and surrounding areas. On Friday, there will be no power supply at Girinagar 4th Stage, Nagendra Block, Srinagar, Weavers' Colony, Pipe Line Road, and parts of Hanumanthanagar between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Exhibition

The Crafts Council of Karnataka is holding an exhibition, "Kuteera", at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath from Saturday. The exhibition will have on sale beautifully hand-crafted creations.

Technical talk

The Bangalore centre of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) is organising a technical talk on "Foundations on expansive soils and case studies" by P.S.R. Free coaching

Postponed

The Sir C.V. Raman Inter-Collegiate English debate competition and Prof. T. Reuben Memorial Inter-Collegiate Kannada debate competition, which were scheduled to be held on December 8 and 9, have been postponed. The new dates will be notified soon, according to a release from Young Men's Christian Association.

New post office

The Department of Posts will be opening a Delivery Post Office at HSR Layout on December 1 at Shop no. 21, BDA Complex. The residents of HSR Layout Sector 1 o 7 and the villages, including Hongalahalli, Iblur, Ambalipura, Somasundarapalya, Prangipalya, Halur Agara, will be getting their mails from this post office. The pin code of this post office is 560102.
