This Day That Age
A farewell dinner was given to the outgoing Governor, Mr. Sri Prakasa, by the Government of Madras at the Rajaji Hall in Madras on November 29. The guests included Mr. C. Rajagopalachari, Mr. P.S. Kumaraswamy Raja, Ministers, the Chief Justice, the Chief Secretary and high officials. Rajaji Hall was tastefully decorated with flowers and festoons. Paying a tribute to the qualities of Mr. Sri Prakasa and his services to the State, Mr. K. Kamaraj, Chief Minister, said that he always evinced keen interest in the welfare of the common people and it was this love for the common people that had led them to look upon him as their friend and well-wisher.
