VISAKHAPATNAM: The Navy Day rehearsals started off on the beach road amidst a crowd of curious onlookers here on Thursday. The Navy band participated in the first day's rehearsal and the crowd could enjoy a few exercises that were demonstrated.
Surprise in store
Naval ships fired anti-aircraft guns at close range after sending flares. A `search and rescue' operation was also performed. There will be quite a lot of surprise in store for the people during the Navy Day celebrations on December 4. According to sources, this year the `Surya Kiran' fleet of the Indian Air Force will take part on the final day. Out of the 12 aircraft, nine aircraft will participate in the aerobatics show that will be the highlight of the event. In all 15 ships and one submarine will participate in the exercises.
