BEIJING: China will consult other parties on the date for resumption of the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu here on Thursday. Chief negotiators of China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the U.S. held bilateral and trilateral talks in Beijing on Tuesday and Wednesday, and agreed to resume the nuclear talks as soon as possible. She said the talks helped understand one another's viewpoints. The talks, involving China, the DPRK, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Japan, Russia and the U.S., have been stalled since November last year when the DPRK refused to return to the table in protest against the U.S. sanctions.
