Asian Games
DOHA : Indian women lost 0-3 to Korea in the Asian Games table tennis quarterfinals here on Thursday. Mouma Das alone managed to pull off a game, as the Koreans proved too good for the Indian girls. Similarly in the men's event, Subhajit Saha alone was able to win a game as India went down 0-3 to China in a group `A' meeting on Wednesday evening. It was the second defeat for India after the one against Japan, and it was little consolation that the team later blanked Yemen. The results: Men (league): India beat Yemen 3-0 (Sharath Kamal bt Mohammed Al Hashedi 13-11, 11-5, 11-7; Subhajit Saha bt Fahd Gubran 11-6, 11-9, 11-3; Jitendra Kumar bt Zeyad Al Shaik 11-9, 11-2, 11-2). China beat India 3-0 (Ma Long bt Sharath Kamal 11-2, 11-9, 12-10; Ma Lin bt Subhajit Saha 3-11, 11-4, 13-11, 11-1; Chen Qi bt Soumyadeep Roy 11-8, 11-6, 11-9). Women (quarterfinals): Korea beat India 3-0 (Kyung Ah Kim bt Poulomi Ghatak 11-5, 11-2, 11-13, 11-4; Mi Young Park bt Mouma Das 11-6, 11-5, 11-6; Bang Bang Kwak bt K. Shamini 11-7, 11-4, 11-6).
