KOLKATA: The Stewards of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club have decided to postpone the Calcutta races scheduled to be held on Friday, Dec. 1, to Saturday, Dec. 2.
Chisty suspended
The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club have suspended I. Chisty from Dec. 10 to March 6 (both days inclusive) for not permitting his mount Space Girl to run on its merit, in the first division of Seetharam Mudaliar Memorial Trophy (1,400m) run on Oct. 22, and he is also not permitted to ride work during this period. They have also fined R. Foley, the trainer of Space Girl, Rs.10,000 for unsatisfactory explanation tendered during the enquiry.
Trainer fined
The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club have fined M.B. Mangalorkar, trainer of Ravininski, Rs.10,000 for his negligence in accepting his charge when it was under veterinary treatment in the Bellary Plate (Div. II, 1,600m) run on Nov. 24.
