VIJAYAWADA: Ch. Nitin's 88 took SSJCA XI to an emphatic 64-run win over DVRM XI in the Krishna District Cricket Association's `B' division league, for the Devineni Venkataramana and Praneetha memorial Trophy, here on Thursday. The scores: SSJCA XI 152 in 22.3 overs (Ch. Nitin 88, Rehman five for 29, P. Suresh three for 48) bt DVRM XI 88 in 15.5 overs (K. Harish four for 22, Karim three for 12). Jolly Rovers (Vijayawada) 164 in 33.4 overs (Shankar 55, Srinu three for 13) lost to MBP Senior XI 168 for seven in 27 overs (Pandu 47, Murali three for 18). MBP Junior XI 157 in 34.3 overs (Suresh 50, S. Srinivasa Rao four for 31) lost to Sarada XI 158 for 8 in 25.4 overs (Venkatesh four for 36).
Chandrasekhar, Kavita in A.P. team
Krishna's Ch. Chandrasekhar and Kavita Naga Pavani will represent the district in the A.P. State u-17 championship to be held at Bhimavaram on December 2 and 3.
Athletic meet
District School Games Association, along with CBR Foundation for Sports, will conduct the inter-zonal athletic meet for under-14 and u-17 (boys and girls) at Kethanakonda on December 3 and 4. The district team for the State selections to be held at Warangal from December 8 to 10 will be picked here.
