Army officer injured in IED explosion

Srinagar: In the second such incident in a fortnight targeting Army personnel, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants triggered a powerful IED explosion injuring a senior officer of the 46 Rashtriya Rifles on the Srinagar-Baramulla national highway on Thursday.

The officer, a Lieutenant Colonel, the second-in-command of the unit was injured in the explosion at Khawajabagh in Baramulla . - PTI
