Pirated CDs seized

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The anti-piracy squad of the State police on Thursday seized about 50,000 pirated CDs, most containing Malayalam movies, from a private CD shop at Thycaud. A case has been registered at the Museum police station. Two shop employees, Ratheesh, 24, and Pradeep, 28, have been arrested. According to the police, hundreds of blank CDs and fake CD covers of movies, fashioned by copying cinema posters, were also seized during the raid. — Staff Reporter
