Elderly man murdered over land dispute

BANGALORE:
Seventy-five year-old Ramaiah was hacked to death, allegedly by his nephew Janardhan at Immadihalli in the Kadugodi police station limits on Thursday morning. The accused is absconding, according to the police.
Ramaiah and Janardhan had a dispute over a 16-gunta plot of land.
They were reportedly feuding over it for the past 16 years. On Thursday morning, after another quarrel, the accused allegedly stabbed Mr. Ramaiah on the thigh and stomach when the victim was working in the same land.
As Mr. Ramaiah was struggling for life, the accused escaped.
Mr. Ramaiah's daughter Manjula spotted her father and tried to rescue him. But he died on the way to the hospital. Before his death, he reportedly narrated the attack.
