CPI (M) criticises Trinamool Congress

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI : The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has condemned the Trinamool Congress MLAs' action of rampage on Thursday in the West Bengal Assembly and attacks on the Left Front MLAs.

"Congress, BJP in connivance"

In a statement, the party Polit Bureau charged that the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party were openly conniving at this approach by supporting the Trinamool Congress's undemocratic programmes reflecting their political frustration.

It said destruction of furniture in the Assembly premises and other property has clearly exposed the "fictitious claim" of Trinamool Congress in democracy and law and order.

"Condemn hooliganism"

"The pre-planned attack in the Assembly deserves to be condemned by all the people having elementary regards for democracy," the Polit Bureau said and called upon all democratic forces to condemn this `hooliganism.'
