HASSAN: Releasing the annual action plan of Rs. 836.15 crore for bankers 2007-08, Hassan Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer F.R. Jamaadar lauded the efforts made by NABARD to prepare the plan and said it would help the district see development. He was speaking at a district-level bankers consultative committee meeting here on Thursday.
Earmarked
The plan would be the base for the next year's financing by bankers. According to the plan, Rs. 606.85 crore has been earmarked for agriculture, Rs. 27.43 crore for the industrial sector and Rs. 201.87 crore has been set aside for other priority sectors. Assistant General Manager of NABARD C. Rajasekhar, Lead District Manager (Canara Bank) C. Jayaprakash, Reserve Bank of India Manager B.N. Gopinath and Assistant General Manager, Canara Bank, T.R. Srinivasa Rao spoke.
