`Photo Imaging Asia' from December 7

NEW DELHI: Infomedia India Limited on Friday announced that "Photo Imaging Asia-2006" -- the largest photography and imaging show in South Asia -- would be held at Pragati Maidan here from December 7 to 10.

The show acts as a platform for various companies to introduce new products to the Indian audience with interest in photography and imaging. A number of workshops will also be held by professional photographers.

NIIT signs deal with Egyptian institute

NEW DELHI: NIIT has entered into an agreement with Information Technology Institute (ITI) of Cairo to build up a pool of skilled professionals for the information and communication industry in Egypt. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between representatives of the two sides here recently.

Dubbed as Asia's largest IT trainer, NIIT will offer its IT education programmes integrated with the curriculum of ITI through an `NIIT Inside' model.

Water supply disruption

NEW DELHI: Because of repair work, water supply will not be available on Saturday evening in Sectors 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 of Rohini, Prashant Vihar, Suraj Park, Siraspur Village, Badli Industrial Area, J.J. Cluster Suraj Park, Badli Village and Shahbad areas of the Capital.

Water supply will be available at low pressure from December 4 to 9 in Delhi Cantonment, R.K. Puram, Vasant Vihar, Moti Bagh and NDMC areas.

Water tankers will be available on phone (No. 26100644, 26193218 R.K. Puram), 27924132 (Shahbad) and 27700291 (Holambi Kalain).

Silver jubilee celebrations

NEW DELHI: The Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE) celebrated its silver jubilee here on Thursday. It organised a leadership summit titled "Global India--Building Competencies for Seamless Business" that was addressed by leaders from the infrastructure sector as well as those from the manufacturing and service sectors.

Inaugurating the summit, Ranbaxy Laboratory Chairman Tejendra Khanna highlighted the achievements of the Indian pharma sector.

School annual function

NEW DELHI: Birla Vidya Niketan of Pushp Vihar will host its 23rd annual cultural fiesta at Sri Fort Auditorium here on Saturday.

Former Chief Justice of India, Justice R.C. Lahoti, will be the chief guest at the function. Over 400 students would present song and dance programmes during the two-day fiesta.
