NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Friday sealed 91 illegal commercial properties in three civic zones -- South, Rohini and Shahdara (South) -- taking the total number of sealed properties since the drive resumed on November 8 to 2,361. Meanwhile, the MCD has introduced a user-friendly online ad-hoc registration scheme for the convenience of traders and professionals as per the Supreme Court's directions. This facility is for owners of small shops (area not exceeding 20 sq. m.) operating from residential areas and engaged in 24 permissible businesses; for those operating from 2,183 newly-notified roads; and for professionals (doctors, engineers, chartered accountants and architects) who have to get themselves registered with the civic body.
