Killing of 10 workers: Death penalty for 6

Patna:
The Nalanda Additional District and Sessions Judge on Saturday awarded capital punishment to six persons for killing 10 brick-kiln workers at Benar village under Sare police station limits in June 2004.
Life imprisonment
Judge Bipin Dutta found the seven accused named in the case guilty of murder. While awarding the death penalty to six, one person was sentenced to life imprisonment.
All the accused have been slapped with a fine of Rs. 5 lakh each.
Those facing the death penalty are Baiju Prasad, Mahesh Prasad, Dhananjay Prasad, Ajay Prasad, Vijay Prasad and Muneshwar Prasad. Bipin Chaudhary was given the life term.
