HASSAN: "When people around me came to know that I was HIV positive, society looked down upon me. But I did not lose confidence and faced the problems boldly. Society first insulted me, now it is honouring me," said social worker Veenadhari (popularly known as Veenakka). Replying to felicitations given to her by Coffee Grower's Sports Association at Ballupet in Sakleshpur on Friday, Ms. Veenadhari advised people living with HIV not to lose heart and that this was not the end of the road. She said there was no proof that all HIV positive people would develop AIDS. Sakleshpur MLA H.M. Viswanath presided over the programme.
