Belgaum: Responding to the report "Overloaded trucks go unchecked" that appeared in The Hindu on Saturday, the Regional Transport Officer, Purshotham, said that the transport authorities were conducting checks to prevent overloading in Belgaum district. He said the authorities issued challans to drivers of overloaded trucks and the fine amount was deposited in the court.
