DEHRA DUN: The Bharatiya Janata Party seems to have taken a lead over other parties in finalising the panel of aspirants for 41 State Assembly seats in the Garhwal region of Uttaranchal. About three persons per seat have been short-listed from among the aspirants and the names of all the sitting MLAs appear in the list which will be put up before the high command, a senior party leader said here over the weekend. The panel of aspirants from the Kumaon region will be finalised after the completion of the Parivartan Yatra on December 25, it was stated. The State goes to the polls early next year and the BJP seems to be trying hard to win over voters by raising the inflation, corruption and employment issues during the Parivartan Yatra.
