State urged to implement agreements

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: State president of Andhra Pradesh NGO's Association V. Gopal Reddy on Saturday urged the Government to honour and implement the agreements that it entered into with different sections of employees.

Speaking at a meeting of the united forum of employees, teachers and workers' unions, he said the employees and workers would go on agitation only as a last resort, if the managements, whether private or government, failed to resolve their problems for long.

He also criticised the Congress and the BJP along with the trade unions affiliated to them for their decision to stay away from the nation-wide general strike called on December 14 .
