VISAKHAPATNAM: Sports associations and sportspersons bid a warm and affectionate farewell to Commissioner of the Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation (GVMC) N. Srikanth, at a function organised on Saturday evening. Mr. Srikanth has been transferred after a stint of two-and-a-half years. Speakers appreciated Mr. Srikanth for the great help he had extended to sports and sportspersons during his tenure here. Vice-president of Volleyball Federation of India S. Kodandaramaiah said that the World junior men volleyball tournament could happen thanks to Mr. Srikanth who made the GVMC Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadiumready in a few months meeting the international standardsVice-Chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority G. Venkatram Reddy said that Mr. Srikanth was an officer with a positive mind and had successfully discharged his duties as Municipal Commissioner . Replying to felicitations, Mr. Srikanth said his tenure was here had given him great satisfaction and thanked the sports associations and officials for successfully conducting various tournaments. DSDO Surya Rao, and others participated.
