Traditional art from across the country under one roof

The exhibition is on till December 18

CHENNAI: Be it antique jewellery, handlooms, handicrafts or Jaipur quilts, name it and it is available at the craft bazaar hosted by the Artisans Welfare Association here.

Inaugurated by actor Namitha on Saturday, the exhibition brought the traditional arts of States from across the country under one roof. Besides the usual items, such as black metal from Hyderabad, stone jewellery from Jaipur, and leather products, there were also a range of kitchenware, terracotta pots from Rajasthan, and Panipat carpets.

The expo also showcased a range of acupressure health products. A wide range of handmade bags from Gujarat proved the centre of attraction at the expo.

The exhibition will be open till December 18 at Community Hall, C.P. Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet, between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.
