Karunanidhi flays Jayalalithaa for opposing schemes

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Sunday said the Government would strive in all possible ways to implement the suggestions of the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court to create necessary infrastructure for implementation of the proposal to make Tamil the court language.

Replying to a question, Mr. Karunanidhi said the Government would consider the valuable suggestions made by the Chief Justice, who had accepted in principle the proposal, with farsightedness.

Answering another query, Mr. Karunanidhi flayed general secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Jayalaithaa for opposing the State Government's schemes such as distribution of free gas stoves, supply of rice at fair price shops for Rs. 2 a kg, distribution of colour television sets, waiver of cooperative crop loan to the tune of Rs.7000 crore and providing eggs twice a week under the noon meal scheme.
