HASSAN: Principal Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Grievances Department, Tara Ajai Singh has said that the process of issuing temporary ration cards will be completed by December 20 in all the districts of Mysore division, except Mysore. Addressing Deputy Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers and Deputy Directors of the Department of Hassan, Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mysore, Mandya, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts here on Saturday, she directed the officials to release final list of ration card holders in all villages. Ms. Singh complimented officers of the department for their speedy house-to-house survey. Commissioner for Food and Civil Supplies B.H. Anil Kumar directed officials to ensure that people below the poverty line got ration cards. He felt that 80 per cent of grievances could be resolved in the office, while the remaining needed on-the-spot verification. Additional Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Department, Shivalingaiah was present.
