BJP forms district committee

MANGALORE: K. Monappa Bhandary, president of Dakshina Kannada district unit committee of Bharatiya Janata Party, has announced the names of his team of office-bearers, who will discharge their duties in their respective capacities for the next three years. The new committee has five vice-presidents, one from each of the five taluks in the district, three general secretaries, six secretaries and one spokesperson and treasurer respectively, according to a press release issued from Mr. Bhandary here on Sunday.

Nitin Kumar from Mangalore, Jagannath Salian from Vittla, G. Anand from Bantwal, Krishna Nayak from Puttur and S.N. Manmath from Sullia are vice-presidents. Nalin Kumar Kateel, Asha Thimappa Gowda from Sullia and Srikar Prabhu from Mangalore are general secretaries. Chandrashekar Uchil, Mariamma Thomas, Vishwanath Rai M.B., Ganesh Hosabettu, Devadas Shetty and Prasad Kumar K. are secretaries. Rathnakar Nayak and Shankar Bhat are the treasurer and spokesperson respectively.
