Water Adalat today

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will hold a Water Adalat at its South 1 and South 2 sub divisions to settle disputes connected to water billing, delay in water supply and sanitary connections, delay in conversion from non domestic to domestic connection and other related disputes on Monday from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in their respective sub divisional offices.

Another Water Adalat for West 1 and South East 1 sub divisions will be held on December 7 from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Ham course

Indian Institute of Hams will organise a weekend course for grant of Ham Radio Operating Licence issued by the Union Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Classes will commence on December 8 at Ham Radio Station, Room No 98, 2nd Floor, Sri Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, Kasturba Raod. For more details, call Ph: 9448302677.

BU exam

The theory examinations of Bangalore University for all its degree semester courses, including BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBM and B.Sc (FAD), will be conducted from December 4 to December 28. The timetable has been sent to all the affiliated colleges, a university release said.

Workshop

The Centre for Adult and Continuing Education will organise a seminar-cum-workshop for the principals of degree colleges in the State. The seminar, "Disability and Higher Education", will be held at the Jnanajyothi mini convention hall, Central College, on December 4 and December 5.

For hearing impaired

Swayamwara Trust will organise a matrimonial meet for the hearing impaired on December 22, December 23 and December 24 at NDK Kalyana Mantapa, 13th Main, HAL 2nd Stage, 100 ft Road, Indiranagar. Grooms and brides will be selected on December 22 and December 23, and the muhurtham will be conducted on December 24. This will be followed by registration of the marriage at the sub-registrar's office. Applications for the meet should reach the trust on or before December 15. New building

The new building of St. Joseph's Indian High School and Composite PU College was inaugurated on Saturday. The new building has 40 classrooms and is built with a courtyard concept. The administrative section and classes will now be shifted to the new building and the old block will now be used to conduct cultural programmes. The chief guest on the occasion was Brigadier Clement Samuel.
