Rajyotsava Award presented

BANGALORE: Kannada and Culture Secretary I.M. Vittal Murthy presented the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award to senior journalist G.S. Sadashiva at his residence here on Sunday.

Mr. Vittal Murthy spoke about Mr. Sadashiva's contribution to journalism and also his achievements as a short story writer.

Illness

Mr. Sadashiva could not participate in the award presentation ceremony held here on November 1 because of illness, according to a press release.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University M.S. Thimmappa and Karnataka Nataka Academy Chairman Sreenivas G. Kappanna were present.
