Chennai: The University Students Advisory Bureau of the University of Madras, in association with Expertus HR is organising a job expo on the University campus on December 16 and 17. Khadi sale

The Central and State Governments have announced a special rebate of 10 to 30 per cent on cotton khadi, woollen khadi, poly khadi, silk khadi and readymade garments from December 4 to December 9, in commemoration of Rajaji and Subramanya Bharathi's birth anniversaries.

Free courses

Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation (TADHCO) has invited SC/ST candidates to attend a walk-in interview to be held on December 6. Candidates who get selected could pursue free courses in Production Supervision and Quality Control, a masters course in Pattern Cutting Garment Construction conducted by Apparel Training and Design Centre. Eye camp for students

The Bhagwan Mahaveer Eye Hospital has completed their first round of the `Children Eye Care' programme in November. Over 2,500 students were screened at various venues and nearly 570 of them were referred to the hospital.

Aptech job fair

Aptech will conduct a job fair on December 6 at Chettiar Hall, Alwarpet from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Workshops on topics such as communication skills, drafting resumes, group discussion and time management will be conducted.
