Isolated rain likely in south T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres:-

Ayikudi, Nanguneri and Radhapuram (all Tirunelveli dt) and Kanyakumari 1 each.

The minimum temperature fell markedly at one or two places over Kerala, appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, Telangana and at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rest Rayalaseema, rest Telangana, Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, north coastal Tamil Nadu above normal at a few places coastal Andhra Pradesh at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, south coastal Tamil Nadu markedly below normal at one or two places over Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Arogyavaram recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Thursday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, south Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, north Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No large change.
