MANGALORE : Corporation Bank has joined the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) as a clearing bank. The BSE and the bank signed an agreement to this effect recently, a bank release said. Speaking on the occasion, K. L. Gopalakrishna, Executive Director of the bank, said it was a privilege to be associated with the BSE in the capacity of a clearing member. The bank had made a good beginning with Stock Holding Corporation of India Services as a member and hoped to grow to be a very valuable clearing house member of the BSE. Rajnikant Patel, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BSE, said it was a part of the BSE's new initiatives to provide the best facilities, efficient and professional services to their members and expand the reach through the branch network of the bank. BSE would also leverage the bank's expertise in the financial market to provide innovative products and services for the benefit of brokers, market intermediaries, corporates and others, Mr. Patel said.
