CHENNAI: As part of its aggressive growth plans, Ceat on Tuesday rolled out the first batch of radial tyres from its newly commissioned expanded facility at Nashik. The Nashik plant, which has a capacity of around 40,000 radial tyres, will now start rolling out 65,000 passenger tyres a month. Ceat has planned a phased increase of its car radial tyre capacity to about 2.50 lakh tyres a month over four years. This project is likely to cost Rs. 25-50 crore a year, says a release.
