Police arrest two call taxi drivers

Coimbatore: The police have arrested two call taxi drivers on charges of chain snatching. The police have recovered gold jewellery worth Rs. 1 lakh from Prathap and Subramani. They said that they indulged in chain snatching to buy cars for them.

Forgery

Acting on a complaint from the Coimbatore South Tahsildar, V. Subramanian, the police have arrested Murugesan and Nagarajan of Madukkarai on charges of forging the signature of tashildar to prepare a legal heir certificate.

Incident

The incident came to light, when the Madukkarai Army camp officials refused to accept the certificate citing that it did not have the rubber stamp of the tahsildar and taluk office.
