Employees resent privatisation of pension scheme

HYDERABAD: A large number of Central and State Government public sector employees, teachers and workers formed a human chain on the Tank Bund on Tuesday, to mark the Save Pension Day programme.

Responding to the call given by the Struggle Committee of Central and State Government Public Sector Employees, Teachers and Workers, they observed the day to protest privatisation of the scheme. The AP joint action committee of employees, teachers and workers took out a rally here on Tuesday. Addressing a meeting, leaders wanted the Central and the State Governments, as part of the scheme, to introduce pension for the employees and teachers.
