HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday left for New Delhi after fulfilling two engagements in the city.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, besides a host of Ministers and officials accorded a warm send off to Dr. Singh at the Begumpet airport. The special Indian Air Force aircraft left for New Delhi at 1.10 pm.

Earlier in the day, V. Hanumantha Rao, Congress MP, submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister urging the Centre to initiate steps for the welfare of Other Backward Classes.
