Turf news:

Jockey F. Irani, who rode Rejuvenite, in the Muncipal Commissioner's Trophy on Nov. 23, was suspended by the Stewards for the period — Dec. 18 to 25, for incompetent riding on his mount.

In the same race, trainer Mansoor Shah was also suspended by the Stewards for the period — Dec. 18, 2006 to Jan. 4, 2007, for unsatisfactory running of his charge. They also fined him Rs. 10,000.
