BHUBANESWAR: Child marathoner Budhia Singh, young Chess sensation Padmini Rout and black belt winner Barun Mahapatra were the star attraction at a fashion show organised by Apparel Leather Technology, a fashion designing school in the city recently. Wearing colourful clothes, the child celebrities walked on the ramp with the visually challenged children drawing thunderous applause from those gathered on the occasion. The organisers of the show were of the view that their aim was to enter into the segment meant for children. School director Sayed Khalil Hussain said they brought the visually challenged to the show to give them a feeling that they were part of the mainstream. It was great feeling for the visually challenged boys to have walked on the ramp with young achievers of the State. The five-year-old Budhia, who came to the limelight earlier this year by running 65 km in seven hours, was centre of attraction at the show.
