KADAPA: Rayachoti Senior Civil Judge Ch. Ramachandra Murthy has sentenced three persons to seven years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 8,000 each in a fake currency printing case. Four of the accused have been acquitted. Chintam Konda Reddy, his son Chintam Venkataramana Reddy and Jagamohan have been convicted. They are among the eight accused charged with printing fake currency, but one died during trial. Meanwhile, Badvel Fast Track Court Additional Assistant Judge K. Venkateswarlu sentenced Jandlavaram Hariswamy and Kopparapu Tirupal Reddy of Siddhavaram village in Porumamilla mandal to five years of rigorous imprisonment and levied fine of Rs. 2,000 on each of them in a fake currency circulation case. A case was booked after Badvel police recovered fake currency of Rs. 1.54 lakhs from them in August last year. The court also sentenced Gutti Narayana Reddy and P. Venkatasubbaiah to five years rigorous imprisonment and levied fine of Rs. 1,000 each.
