KARIMNAGAR: Shivasailam and Amit Rathore, election observers deputed for the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency byelection, on Tuesday examined all the records pertaining to the polling stations where more than 70 per cent polling was reported on Monday. It may be recalled that in some 60 polling stations more than 70 per cent of polling was reported during the byelection. Twentythree polling stations in Jagtial Assembly segment recorded more than 70 per cent polling, and 14 booths in Karimnagar, eight in Metpally, six in Buggaram, four in Choppadandi, three in Sircilla and two booths in Nerella too recorded the same. Following the directions of the EC, the observers examined records of the 60 polling booths and checked the signatures and other records. Later, the observers expressed satisfaction over the conduct of elections and ruled out any possibility of rigging. Later briefing newsmen, Collector M.V. Satyanarayana said that the EC had directed them to conduct the counting of votes as scheduled on December 7 from 8 a.m. onwards at SRR Degree College in Karimnagar town. D. S. Chauhan, SP, Joint Collector P. Thippanna, Jayachander, DRO, AROs, Chiranjeevulu, Ravindrababu, Guruvaiah and representatives of parties were present.
