A day to remember
Udhavum Ullangal, a non-governmental organisation, spent December 2 at the Government Hospital for Thoracic Medicine in Tambaram.
The NGO and L. Simon Dod Singh, assistant general manager of Canara Bank, Habibullah Road Branch, distributed fruits, toiletries, eatables and bed sheets to 400 HIV positive inmates at the hospital and drinking chocolate packets and watches to 25 children.
Canara Bank sponsored the programme. Students of M.O.P. Vaishnav College presented a dance programme.
Hospital Superintendent S. Rajasekaran, was honoured. B. Sankar Mahadevan, founder trustee of Udhavum Ullangal, participated.
