Governor releases book

Peaceful co-existence in the artistic and political spheres is the theme of V.P. Dhananjayan's second book. Released at the Raj Bhavan by Governor Surjit Singh Barnala here on Tuesday, `Beyond Performing: Art & Culture, Politico-Social Aspects' has been published by B.R. Rhythms.

Edited by Dhananjayan's senior disciple, Tulsi Badrinath, the book follows the success of `Dhananjayan on Indian Classical dances' that has seen three editions. `Beyond Performing... ' has articles on art, culture, politics and society. Another attraction is its cartoons on social and artistic issues by the late Sarathy. The book is priced at Rs.1195. B.R.
