Two college girls commit suicide

They were Inter and B.Com students


  • Inter student was reportedly suffering from convulsions
  • Reasons behind another student's death not known

    HYDERABAD: Two college students committed suicide in separate incidents in the city since Monday.

    C. Sneha (16), a first-year Intermediate student, hanged herself to death at her house at Sitaphalmandi.

    She was suffering from convulsions for the last six years, according to the police. She was a student of St. Ann's College at Tarnaka.

    Repeated calls

    In another incident, a B.Com final-year student committed suicide by hanging at her house at Kamalanagar in Kushaiguda. The incident came to light when 22-year-old V. Priya did not respond to the repeated calls of her father Vasudev at 10 a.m. When he broke open the main door, he found his daughter hanging from the ceiling fan. Priya spoke to her parents when she woke up at 6 a.m.

    The police said reasons behind Priya's death were yet to be known.

    She was pursuing her B.Com from Loyola College in Alwal.
