`Chitra Santhe' will feature about 1,000 artists from across the country

Bangalore : The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath is organising "Chitra Santhe — Art for All" on December 31. It will feature about 1,000 artists from across the country and will spread out from the parishath premises to Kumara Krupa Road.

L. Shanthakumari, Administrator of the parishath, said that the event, being held for the past four years, would provide an opportunity to make art affordable to the common man. The price of art items on display would start from Rs. 50. Artists above 18 are eligible to apply and the application forms should reach CKP, Kumara Krupa Road, Bangalore-1 on or before December 18, she said.

Although no storage facilities would be provided, a day's lodging and boarding would be provided for outstation participants on prior request. The registration would be free, but the organisers would restrict the participation to about 1,000 to exercise quality control, she said.
