BANGALORE: The State Government employees, under the aegis of Akhila Karnataka State Government Employees' Federation, on Tuesday staged a demonstration here to protest against the Centre's move to table the Pension Regulatory Bill in Parliament.

Hundreds of employees sat on a dharna in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue on Mahatma Gandhi Road as part of the State-wide "Pension Bachao Day" agitation and raised slogans against the Union Government. The federation has said that the Government was trying to escape from its social responsibility of providing pension to the employees by introducing the Pension Regulatory Bill.
