Vikas Yadav bail plea to be heard today

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court will on Thursday take up for hearing a bail application by Vikas Yadav, prime accused in the Nitish Katara murder case. While refusing to hear his bail application the Supreme Court last week had asked Vikas to move the High Court for relief.

The High Court had earlier this year rejected his bail plea observing that he could move the Court after Bharti Yadav, a key prosecution witness in the case, recorded her evidence. In his application, Vikas submitted that since Ms. Bharti had recorded her evidence before a trial court here recently, the High Court should reconsider his plea.
