Osteoporosis camp held for women police
Staff Reporter
CHENNAI:
An osteoporosis camp for women police was conducted in which a large number of personnel led by Commissioner of Police Letika Saran participated here on Monday.
The camp was organised by the Lions Club (Region III). Bone density test was carried out among other tests.
According to Dr. Rishi Tiwari, it would be advisable for persons above 40 years to undergo an osteoporosis test, as the bone tends to become fragile. Even little trauma could lead to fracture or other ailments.
A team of doctors as well as paramedical staff participated in the camp, which was co-ordinated by the Nicholas Piramal executives. They provided equipment free of cost.
