Gold for India in kabaddi

CHENNAI: India won the gold medal in kabaddi at the 15th Asian Games in Doha, with an exciting victory over Pakistan in the final on Wednesday.

The country's tally now includes three golds — the other two were in chess and billiards. India had maintained a clean slate in the league stages, and won all four matches, including one against Pakistan. The 35-23 victory in the final gave India its fifth successive gold medal in kabaddi since 1990 at the Asian Games.
