KOCHI: The Congress leadership should keep its word to the nation regarding the reconstruction of Babri Masjid at its original site, demanded PDP working chairman Poonthura Siraj. Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Mr. Siraj said the Central Government should take necessary steps for the speedy completion of the inquiry by the Liberhan Commission that was looking into the issues related to the demolition of the masjid. As the proceedings of the commission were progressing at snail's pace, the accused were roaming around freely. The Central Government should take steps for the speedy completion of the trial of cases related to the demolition of the masjid, he demanded. The party planned to write to the BJP leader A.B. Vajpayee urging him to advise the BJP MPs to behave properly in Parliament.
