The Administration has also constituted a five-member committee under the chairmanship of the District Collector to conduct a detailed survey of the families affected by the project.

The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management of the Union Territory has published in the State Gazette the order of the Lt. Although sufficient compensation as per the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act was arranged for disbursement, the government felt that alternative livelihood opportunities must be arranged for the affected families, including landowners, the order stated.

The committee would collect details of the members of the families, their economic status, average wages , levels of skills etc.

Employment opportunities in the upcoming SEZ will also be evaluated.

The order said the committee would also recommend specific schemes to upgrade the skills of the populationwithin the employable age group.

The report of the committee should be submitted within sixty days from the date of publication of the order.
