Teledata hives off businesses

CHENNAI:
Teledata Informatics Ltd has announced that it has spilt the company into three separate entities, focusing on specific businesses. The de-merged entities will be Teledata Marine Solutions, Teledata Technology Solutions and Teledata Informatics.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, K. Padmanabhan, Managing Director of Teledata, said the de-merger would ensure better operational management and focus on accelerated growth of individual units.
Mr. Padmanabhan said the de-merger would create potential to attract different sets of investors, strategic partners and lenders for each business. As per the de-merger Teledata Informatics would be transferring Rs. 213.64 crore to Teledata Marine Solutions, Rs. 76.50 crore to Teledata Technology Solutions and Rs. 240 crore would be with Teledata Informatics.
