Death of students: AISF seeks action against hostel officials

KURNOOL: AISF activists staged a demonstration here on Thursday demanding action against the hostel officials who were directly or indirectly responsible for the death of students in the past few months. The AISF leaders also urged the authorities to compensate the bereaved families.

According to AISF leaders, Khasim Khan, student of Residential Bridge School at Tandrapadu, K. Tilak Kumar of BC Hostel, Ahobilam, A. Jayalakshmi of APRJC, Kurnool, B. Chankradhar of APRJC, Jupadu Bungalow died due to either illness or suicide. The deaths occurred due to absence of wardens from the place of work. They said the authorities promised pucca house and five-acre land, which was not kept.
